OK, so THE soul concert of the year is coming up fast, in case you didn't know.
Lee Fields & Slim Moore, together at last, for one night only, Friday May 4th, at Ritual in Ottawa.
If you don't know Mr. Lee Fields, well, he's nothing short of legendary. He put out his first single back in 1969, played with notable acts such as Kool & the Gang, Sammy Gordon & the Hip-Huggers, O.V. Wright, Darrell Banks and Little Royal, but what's even more amazing is that he's performing some of the baddest music of his entire career right now, backed by his dynamite Expressions. He's got a voice like honey-dipped sandpaper, and his band can hold down a hard soul groove like it's nobody's business. Check these guys out:
