I have FMB , Dueling Banjos and many others. My Blackberry (I'm sure other phones do this as well) will take any MP3 song in the memory and allow you to make a ringtone out of it. I have a different song for all of my family members and friends so I know who is calling without even looking at the caller ID. I try to use music that fits the persons style or personality.

Just wondering if anyone other than myself has a banjo ring tone on their cell phone(s). I have Pike County Breakdown played Royce Burt. And not to open a can of worms, but, what in your opinion is the best banjo instrumental ever written? I vote for Foggy Mountain Landscape by John Hartford.

No, Dave, I didn't purchase it. I had the tune stored in my music files in MP3 format on my computer (downloaded from the BHO music files) and was able to find a way to send it to my iPhone. It's been a while and I don't remember exactly how I did it but if you Google something like 'making ringtones from music files' or 'MP3 files' you will probably find a method for doing it.

My I-phone's ring tone is "Here Rattler, Here" by George Pegram and Walter "Red" Parnham from the vinyl LP "Pickin' and Blowin'" I was able to record the vinyl album and my wife who knows how to do such things installed a portion of the song to be my ring tone. As to best banjo instrumental - I'm not knowledgeable enough to judge.

I used to have banjo music as my ringtone but I kept missing calls because

I would sit around going "I didn't know there was a banjo in this song"

and just kick back and enjoy the music. Dope
