If you forgot your Wi-Fi network password, you can find it if you have another Windows PC already connected to your Wi-Fi network. After you find your password, you can use it on another PC or device to connect to your Wi-Fi network.

On another Windows PC or other device, connect to Wi-Fi as you normally would, and enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted. For more info about connecting to Wi-Fi, see Connect to a Wi-Fi network in Windows.

If you forgot your Wi-Fi network password, you can find it if you have another Windows PC already connected to your Wi-Fi network. After you find your password, you can use it on another PC or device to connect to your Wi-Fi network. Here's how

@Bradden Welcome to the community! Yes, you can accomplish this with a travel router by connecting the camera to the router. The router will connect to the unsecured Wi-Fi but the camera will connect to the secure connection via the router. There are several on Amazon to choose from like this one below:

I think depending on the WiFi router you are using, if it supports multiple SSID, you can setup a separate SSID with password, even configure it to use only 2.4Ghz frequency band. Then you can setup the camera to connect on that SSID. That is if you have access to the WiFi router administration webpage/app.

I appear to have installed my wifi range extender successfully using WPS setup. I have steady green light on router link LED, also extender is listed as being connected in the routers list of connected devices, but when I try to connect any devices to the wifi extender it will not accept the password for my router.

I'm afraid if you are trying a wrong password. Please check the password from your Technicolor gateway and try the correct password. Hope, the below links can help you if you have a computer connected wireless to your Technicolor gateway.

I had already done a factory reset on my router and then reconnected all my devices to my router after first instructing them to "forget this router" before I posted my question, this can only confirm that the password is correct. The only time my password doesn't work is when I attempt to connect to my wifi extender.

I am a new RING user and their Customer Support team is unable to help. I have tried to install the RING App on 2 phone and while the instructions state I will be asked for my WIFI password, it never asks and is unsuccessful at connected to my wifi.

Hey @SHZ! There is no password needed to install the Ring App on your phone. As long as the mobile device is connected to your wifi, or data connection, it should install the Ring app and allow you to log in/ create an account.

We changed our wifi password, and now Ring will not reconnect. It promises to prompt for the new password and then never does. Plus it has trouble resetting in general, although after probably twenty attempts and resets, I have gotten it to get to the point of the new wifi. But then it fails.

Hey @jalawright. Do you have any special characters in your new wifi password? Could you try removing the Ring device from your account and then setting it up again as if it were the first time? If you go down this route, please ensure you have all videos you desire saved first as removing the device will delete all videos! Let me know how this goes, and if it fails again, please let me know what Doorbell you have, what the light pattern on the Doorbell is, and what error message you get in the app (screenshot in your reply would be most helpful!).

So currently when my non-admin user tries to connect to a new WiFi network (e.g. at a cafe say) NetworkManager prompts for the admin user's password. Is there a way to turn this off and to allow the non-admin user to connect to whatever Wifi network they like?

EDIT: just to clarify, I really mean a new WiFi network never connected to prior by the computer, so clicking 'Available to all users' on an existing established connection will not solve the matter- as currently no issue with the non-admin user reconnecting as many times as they like to the home network.

As you can see, NetworkManager supports the concept of user and system connections. The problem is, the applet creates system connections by default. So when you open the applet on the tray and click Select Network, then select the one you want to connect to, it asks for a sudo user, because creating system connections are only allowed for admins.

Why the applet wants to create system connections by default is beyond me though, especially since you can make a user connection a system one anytime later. It's the Make available to other users option under connection properties, and when you check that and click Apply, it'll immediately ask for sudo password, as it should. I'll try to find a way to make the applet create user connections by default, I'll update this answer if I figured it out.

Free Wifi Password - Connect is a free-to-use utility app from the Droid-Developer team. This Wi-Fi management tool helps you find networks, connect to them, or even discover free hotspots near you. Additionally, you can view and recover the passwords for all saved wireless networks for your device.

However, the same features mean that it exposes these networks to unauthorized access, which could put users in trouble if they use regulated networks such as work-provided Wi-Fi access. Other people using the same device, or even passersby, can see the network name and passwords all in plain text from your screen. This bypasses inherent security measures regarding Wi-Fi, such as keeping passwords encrypted or outright inaccessible to the user.

I have a Canon Pixma TS 9020 and we recently changed our router password. When I try to connect the printer to the wifi it doesn't ask for a new password. Instead it immediately tries to connect to the wifi and then fails the login. It says I should check the password, but NEVER lets me actually enter a password. How do I enter the wifi new password into the printer?

If you are having problems with getting a chance to enter your password, it will usually mean the printer is not getting the proper password request from the router. In this situation, you can try unplugging your router from the power for 5 seconds and then plugging it back in. If you still have problems, I would suggest trying to connect using a different setup option.

I recently changed internet providers and since having the new service my MP5650 won't prompt to let me enter th epassword for the wifi. I've reset my wifi, attempted to reinstall the software on my computer, and reset factory settings on the printer.

Incidentally, if you add a wifi router and this new router has not 802.11r active, it would work - and funny thing is it will work even after you remove that router (if you use same SSID and WPA2 key). But the reason behind is 802.11r disabled, not the fact you have added a router.

Not if you are using Tmobile home internet or any other service where you can not turn off the roaming feature 802.11r. I my case I just added a Wifi repeater to my network and then my printer would prompt for the wifi repeater password. Spend $20 for repeater or get a different printer.

A Solution - I don't know if this is the only or best solution but it worked for me. Go into the router, log in, and enable WPS mode on the wifi channel you want. Go to the printer and find the dialog that lets you connect wifi using WPS Pin mode. This will give you an 8 digit pin to enter into your router. This is for the Hitron - Go to the WPS section of the Wireless tab on the router and select "PIN" next to WPS Mode. This will give you a box in which to enter the PIN from the printer. On the Hitron you then select the button labeled "Start". A progress bar will appear. When it is done, you should be connected.

I also have a Hitron router and your solution worked perfectly. I thought I had tried every possible way of connecting wirelessly to the network, including connecting using the printer driver. It never occurred to me to try WPS mode, or that the router might be at fault.

I also forgot and lost my Wifi password, but finally I use a nice and pwerful tool, SmartKey WiFi Password Recovery. It works for me and I use it to recover my wireless password successfully. You can try it.

If you have it saved on a Windows 7 computer, you can see it by right-clicking on the wireless network from the Available Networks list and choosing Properties. From there go to the Security tab and check the box to reveal the password.

From a computer that is connected to the router (wired or wireless), Open your Internet browser and type the IP address of the router in the address bar. The default IP address is 192.168. 0.1. At the login, enter the username (admin) and your password www.upsers.com
