What model number? I don't have one but a neighbour has one not sure of the model, seems fine. Do a google search by model and it will most likely unearth some information about them. I think McKee built some for other manufacturers too. If it is cheap, has been inside and your neighbour was successful with it, buy it or at least rent it for a day. If you don't have much to do you will likely get by. I have found that round baling is quite experience driven, so don't expect perfection on the first day and try to get your neighbour to help you get going. Type of hay, windrow size, RPM's and moisture all have a factor in producing a good bale. You will bale for a while before you consistently can produce a good bale in all areas with all types of hay. Stuff like wrapping hay on a roller, cone bales, loose bales, etc. are usually as much about the operator as the baler. I use a JD430 and now can produce a perfect bale pretty much all the time regardless of moisture or hay type and yield. The first day not so much.

I brought the baler home last night. I cannot find a model number or serial number plate on the machine anywhere. All it says on it is "McKee Round Baler." It does also say on the side on a small decal "Welger System, Patented."
