Thatprevious question and all other resources on the issue that I've found on the internet suggest working around the problem by disabling implicit rules entirely with the -r flag. But is there another way?

I have a "portable" Makefile that relies on them, and I'd like to make it so that it does not take around a minute to start it up each time, rather than having to get the Makefile owner to alter it just for me.

You should use make -d to see all the things make is doing and try to see where the time is going. One common reason for lengthy make times are match-anything rules which are used to determine whether or not a makefile needs to be rebuilt. Most of the match-anything rules CAN be removed; they're rarely needed anymore.

The answer is, nothing. Make does exactly the same amount of work on both Windows and Linux: there are no extra rules or procedures happening on Windows that could be removed. The problem is that Windows NTFS is slower than typical Linux filesystems for these lookups. I know of no system setting, etc. that will fix this problem. Your only choice is to get make to do less work so that it's faster, and the only way to do that is by removing built-in rules you don't need.

If the problem is you really don't want to edit the actual makefiles, that's simple enough to solve: just write the rules above into a small separate makefile, maybe something like speedup.mk, then set the environment variable MAKEFILES=speedup.mk before invoking make. Make will parse that makefile as well without you having to change any makefiles.

In a nutshell, making my classroom a safe classroom that is welcoming to my students is one of the foundations of my job. Of course, I teach all subjects, provide behavior support, and everything else. Making a safe area is a priority for me!

In this blog post, I am going to talk about some tips for teachers to establish that safe space. I will cover the physical environment, academic and behavior

supports, perspective taking with our kiddos, and more. These tips have truly revolutionized my teaching and have made my classroom a great place to learn!

I know that if I were a child, I would struggle inside the classroom if I had any of the situations I talked about going on in my life. I know for a fact my first priority would not be getting my homework done and that I would likely behave in a way that would be me attempting to tell adults that I was not okay.

This can be so hard to remember when teachers have so much on their plate to begin with. It is so easy to get caught up in it when you feel so much pressure to increase engagement or test scores. However, our students will learn literally nothing if their basic needs are not met.

Students with trauma likely experience inconsistency in their lives, whether it is an inconsistent adult, living situation, food source, etc. Having them come into your classroom, knowing what to do and expect daily is huge. Obviously changes in routine happen, but having a consistent day-to-day routine and sticking to it as much as possible will help students feel so much safer.

For example, in my classroom, my students know that every morning they walk in, greet their teachers, make their feelings choice, then either choose a choice activity or ask one of their

teachers for a quick walk before class starts. We do this each and every morning and it allows us to get to class time quickly and efficiently. If we notice a student not following routine, we direct them to our agenda on the board that lists the steps or a staff member redirects them.

We also put our curriculum on a consistent routine so we do basically the same thing every day/week, which has been a game changer in our classroom because the students know the expectation and what the day is going to look like. Knowing what to expect and knowing the procedures that goes along with that goes a long way and also promotes independence. It also allows the day to go so much smoother, which is great for all teachers out there!

With the students that have so much going on in their lives that they cannot control, allowing them the opportunity to have choice in their learning is one of the greatest tools you can have in your teacher toolbox. I notice some teachers have a hard time relinquishing control in their classroom, but the choices you allow the students to have do not need to be things that completely change your lesson plans. Some common ones in my classroom include:

They especially do not feel safe with people that do not take time to get to know them. Get to know their likes and dislikes, what they do on the weekends, what sports they play, their favorite music, their family lives, the names of their pets, anything.

Also, share things about yourself! Students like to know that their teacher is an actual human with interests and hobbies, not just someone who assigns them work in class. When they notice you making an effort, they realize that there is an adult who cares. They realize that this adult wants the best for them. Students realize that this adult is safe and will be there for them on the good days and bad days. They realize that their teacher is a human and has feelings too.

Some of my favorite ways to build relationships with my students is to take them on walks and talks (one on one walks in my classroom), individual conferencing, playing games, going outside, asking them questions about the things they like, telling them about things that are going on in my life, and overall just being silly with them.

These are overall my top trips/strategies for making my classroom safe for students. I am so passionate about this topic and love creating an environment that my students feel welcomed, safe, and comfortable in.

Posting this after a couple days of playing the Dracthyr Augmentation spec. I really enjoy it with the exception of having to deal with cast times. I get that you can use hover strategically to get around that outside the charged attacks but it makes me wish I could get similar gameplay on the enhancement shaman.

In my character portrait I have setup DPS , Healer, Tank Spec and saved those with the items I want to swap out already enchanted and gemmed if necessary. That way I just have to change spec open my character portrait and with a click of a button the items swap out.

Well it sounds like a nice money saver. But at the same time this would make another crafting proffesions more useless again as they dont get to sell as much anymore if enchants change for speccs. And currently it costs way too much time and gold to level up proffesions to justify that

If we still had the old proffesions then i would have said yes, but with the current costs for leveling up proffesions being able to sell less just makes leveling it up not worth it even more. Less people will level it up and people who do level it up will probably ask higher prices then

Sped-up audios on TikTok are undeniably popular. Depending on the audio, TikTok creators use these rapid audios to dance to, sing, or dramatize their videos. Most of the time, sped-up audios are premade by another creator and recycled. The pleasant thing about that is it means less work for everyone else. If you want to use audio from a video you liked, you can tap the audio and click "use this sound" at the bottom of the screen.

Unfortunately, TikTok doesn't have a feature where you can speed up the audio without increasing the video speed. For those who don't mind their video being sped up with the audio, all there's to do is find the desired audio to add to the video and choose the wanted speed on the right side. But for those seeking sped-up TikTok audios minus a sped-up video, then you've come to the right place.

Before or after downloading the app, ensure the audio you want is downloaded from YouTube or your preferred source (YouTube is more accessible). Once the audio is downloaded, head over to CapCut and begin a new project.

The app does require a video or photo but dually note that it's only for background and won't be a part of the Tiktok video. After choosing the video or photo, CapCut will go to the editing zone. If you selected a video, an option that reads "mute clip audio" will be present. Below the video or photo is the "add audio" button.

In that case, tap the folder icon next to the TikTok music note icon. Two choices will appear, "extracted" or "From device." Select "from device" and swipe up to see the list of audios. Locate the audio downloaded and click the plus button next to it. Now, it's added!

To speed up the audio, tap the audio you chose for the video to see a row of audio editing options appear. Swipe until the speed icon is seen. Glide the circle to the desired speed and, if wanted, click the pitch option in the bottom left corner to change the pitch. The pitch can also be changed using the voice effect.

Head to your account, click the video, and then click the audio. Save the audio as your favorite, so when you make a TikTok video, you can go to sounds and click the one you created in your favorites.
