Following the changes made by Gertjan yesterday I have now successfully installed tilde on Linux Mint 18.3. I am very impressed.
As far as I can see the only function that it appears to lack, that pluma & other editors have, is the displaying of line numbers.
Brain damage sustained on 4 separate occasions has left me still having intelligence, but all shape processing messed up. When typing I can’t stop concentrating on a line while I think of the next bit to type, then look back to the same line. I have to write down the line number before letting my concentration leave that line. I then use the line number to find my place in the file.
Do other people find line numbers useful?
