Tilde Permanent Settings

Where can I set the settings for Tilde (like Tab width), to be permanent?

Hi,

To save your settings like tab width permanently, change the settings in Options -> Buffer defaults. The next buffer that opens will use those settings. These settings don't change the already opened files (which perhaps they should, now that I think of it)

thanks for the response.
You are indeed right.
I was always changing the "Current Buffer" Settings, and not the "Buffer Defaults".
I feel very incompetent now...
