Mourning the recent death of
James Patrick Stuhlman (age 51),
Murdered while walking his dog on Thursday, March 12
This is the third gun murder in two years in the Overbrook neighborhood,
two in robberies and one who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The neighborhood held a vigil for Mr. Stuhlman shortly after his murder, and a neighborhood congregation has reached out to his family by planting a tree in his honor. Now, Heeding God’s Call is working with several faith communities in the neighborhood to express support for Mr. Stuhlman and all gun murder victims and their families and neighborhoods by calling for action to end straw purchasing.
On May 31, come join Heeding God’s Call and faith communities of Overbrook to stand with our neighbors to mourn, pray, and work to stem the tide of violence.
