We spent many months negotiating with Opera to avoid this scenario and are disappointed that GetJar consumers will no longer have access to Opera Mini. To install an app using your Android browser, navigate to getjar.com. Next, search for the app you want to use. There's a search tool in the top-right corner; you can also use the Categories view.
Another option for installing via your mobile browser is to first find the app on the GetJar desktop store. Click Download Info on the app's detail page---this will explain how to use the Quick Install option in your mobile browser. The corresponding ID of the app will display (it's also part of the app's URL), which you should enter when prompted.
Maxthon is fast, secure, easy to use and offers very fast download speed. So fast, it outperforms the other web browsers on the market! The Maxthon web browser uses the least amount of CPU resources allowing you to search and navigate faster for a browsing experience that will not drain your mobile phone battery as fast as other web browsers.
Your phone should have a file browser, but if it doesn't I recommend Explorer. You'll need to enable Unknown Sources in Settings -> Applications as well. You can download apps to your PC most easily from alternative markets like GetJar.
If you have installed something like Download Crutch so that you can download any type of file, or are using a non-stock browser that will ignore Android's restriction on downloads, then you can of course just download the .apk's directly to your device and skip the PC.
