ZRLE Decode Error

Good day all, my fresh bookworm install alongside TVNC connects, the disconnects with the following error message:

An unexpected error occurred when communication with the server:

Exception on worker thread ZRLE decode error

Attempt to reconnect?

I can SSH into the pi and the connection stays stable, but I need to vnc to the pi so as to have the GUI available.

Any ideas?

What version of the client are you running and on what OS?

There is at least one similar report of behavior like this:

Try setting the encoding to hextile and see if it works.  I have a spare pi 5 and can install bookworm later this week to see if I can replicate the problem

TigerVNC 1.13.1, installed on stock Windows 10.
