Dear All,

Presently, I am using tigervnc-scraping-server on debian to send the contents of my notebook screen. It is also possible to send it to an android tablet via ADB and show the contents on the tablet via a VNC viewer.

I would very much like to mirror/flip the screen shown on the android tablet for use in front of a video camera using a teleprompter mirror. As this does not seem to be trivial, I would very much welcome guidance. My thoughts are:

- It would be good, if the android VNC viewer could mirror/flip the display. However, I did not find viewer which does include the. Android as an OS also does not seem to support this.

- It would also be good to mirror/flip on the sending side. On the notebook, xrandr -x does that in a millisecond. However, tigervnc-scraping-server does not send the mirrored/flipped display then. Is it possible to create a second, virtual display with identical but mirrored/flipped content and send that? If so, please point me to the right direction.

- Alternatives, such as VLC streaming and rdp are also not obviously available. With VLC streaming, I (a) see substantial delay, (b) cannot get it working through ADB (better than via Wifi and (c) mirroring/flipping seems to be done on the client side, but the flip/mirror checkbox is only available in desktop versions of VLC. RDP does not seem to be much better.

Any alternative paths which anyone can recommend? Ideal solutions would be open source and respect privacy.

Regards,
