I have not found any VNC client that will allow me to connect to a Mac Mini and correctly pass through CMD and OPTION keys from my keyboard. They both seem to register as  CMND key as seen on the Mac keyboard visualizer.  Does anyone have this working with TigerVNC or anything else?

Sorry, left out that I am looking for a client that runs on Linux and connects to MacOS sharing the screen.

I did some testing here, and the issue is that Apple doesn't follow
normal conventions on how these keys should be sent over VNC.

The rest of the world uses XK_Super for CMD and XK_Alt for OPTION. But
Apple apparently uses XK_Alt for CMD and XK_Meta for OPTION.

I'm afraid we can't detect that we are talking to a broken server like
Apple's. Otherwise, we could probably compensate for this issue. :/

Regards,

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
