Hello All,

I have few quires related to running TigerVNC viewer with wayland instead of X.org.
As TigerVNC by default comes with X11. We are trying to run tigervnc viewer on wayland enabled embedded platform. At server side we dont have this restriction of wayland at server side, we can use tigervnc server with X.org.

Could you please help us and provide you inputs regarding using Tigervnc Viewer with wayland. Is there any available implementation present or Is there any limitation that we cant use Tigervnc Viewer with wayland.

Regards,
Ikshwaku

The TigerVNC Viewer is an X11 application, so it should work as long as Xwayland is used.  On all of the Wayland-equipped systems I've tested (Ubuntu 18, RHEL 8, Fedora), Xwayland is started automatically with Wayland login sessions in order to support running X11 applications in those sessions.
