disabling tigervnc encryption on ubuntu

Hi guys,

I'm doing some tests with remote tigervnc usage.

I'm facing some slow starts with tigervnc on ubuntu.

It all works fine, but when I try to connect it's bit slow, takes like 5 seconds to show screen.

I have a feeling that its the encryption causing this slow connect.

I wonder if there is a possibility to disable encryption on tigervnc server, for the test to see if that's faster.

I'm using latest ubuntu 22 desktop (tigervnc server side)

Those instructions don't include any encryption, so I'm afraid there
isn't really anything to disable.

It could be many things causing delays, so it's difficult to say what
the issue is here. Are you using TigerVNC as the client as well?

Client not sure, it's a device that uses vnc connection to connect to vnc sources. i'm not sure what version or type it runs. its a closed source, I cannot acces / change settings unfortunately.

So i thought it might me security issue because my client device could have only older type security support...

I found temporary solution, where I start the vncserver with an options where the encryption is disabled, or set to NONE, then its super fast, so it's definitely security issue.

-SecurityTypes=None 

when I use this, it tells me to use a long tekst that confirms that I understand what I"m doing, and then it starts without encryption. and its very fast.

would be nice to have some list of all options, where we can set things in config files.
