That error means the connection was killed unexpectedly. This generally
only happens for two reasons; the server crashing, or some hop along the
network killing the connection.

Is the server side of this still up and running after this happens? Any
logs there?

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

The server isn't crashing as people on the same network use it fine while my device continues to crash. I guess that means it is on the user end which again I have no idea what would be causing.

By server I mean the server application, e.g. Xvnc, not the entire machine.

I don't really know what that means but generally, the program is still running when it crashes, just disconnects from the server. I then have the option, while still in the application to connect again. It has crashed a few times where the whole application crashes saying "TigerVNC Viewer quit unexpectantly". After downloading a newer version of Tvnc, it comes up with a new error, but I still don't know what the problem is.

The new error is unfortunately a variation on the same theme. There is
something messing up the network link.

Do you think you can get the logs for the VNC server?

And you could also try enabling a bit more logging both in the server
and client:
