Hi All,

We are running vncserver with Pam authentication, so that we enable NIS/LDAP authentication with securityTypes=VeNcrypt,TLSPLain. While connecting to the session from my windows VNCViewer each time i will have to input username and password.
Is there a way to have vncviewer pickup windows credentials without having to input username and password. Have any body tested any mechanism to pickup windows authentication.

No, I'm afraid there is no such mechanism for Plain authentication.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Does that mean that there is no way to have username & password auto-populated while re-connect to help auto reconnect?

Pretty much. With the current state of the code that would be completely true, however It would be relatively simple to change. The changes needed would be confined to the client code which is both simpler to modify and compile. The harder part is actually deciding what the best behavior would be. This is actually on my to do list, but really low.
