Hello TigerVNC devs,

I want to use x0vncserver with a seperate xinput device, so I can make use of X11 Multi-Pointers ( https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Multi-pointer_X ).

In my usecase, I want to give the VNC Session Client a seperate Mouseicon with e.g. a green-colored "X".
For security reasons the VNC Client should be just able to move the that mouse-pointer, but not be able to especially make clicks on the remote session.

What do you think about that? Is this somehow already possible?
Thank you very much
Andreas

I'm afraid that I don't think that is possible with the current
implementation. Multi-pointer X newer got that popular, so it's not
something we've seen any requests for.

x11vnc apparently has optional support for multiple pointers, so it
should be possible to implement at least.

Regards

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
