Well there have been so many changes in our world of late. I know there has been a lot of change at my studio. I have found that no matter how much you work to offer the greatest of programs people will always forget that you are an artist first and foremost. I have always been amazed that people can see your work, and know that you work for them on the clock but then forget that they have an Artist not just an artistic employee. There are three of us that have all been struggling in this manner, and in the end we all react in different ways.

For me it has made me see that no matter how much I do the world is still not ready to see you as a productive person when you are an artist unless you are teaching or world renowned. No know that neither of these are things that I aspire to do, yes I would like to be known to my own selective group, and the same for teaching. I love working with small groups, adults and children.

The best thing to come out of this now is that I have always questioned my choice in not having gone to Grad school. Well I am now thinking hard about going for a Masters in Creative Studies, working in more of a Art Therapy aspect.

I hope that this is going to be the best step for me, allowing me to work still in the field and have a great amount of time for my own work. Most of all I am hoping that when I reopen my studio I will be able to specialize in Art Therapy.
