UTMB Medical Status

Does anybody know the latest news on UTMB in Galveston regarding medical care for the inmates? I am sure funds are being cut in this area. Is UTMB still going to be providing services for the prison system, and to what extent?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Shella- Here is the link for All of the UTMB/TDCJ contracts for
everthing back to 2007. Its a lot of reading.

Oh yeah- comparatively it looks like funding is up 32 million from
2009...

Thank you so much for the needed information on UTMB. So I suppose that UTMB will not be losing funding for prison medical services for this year 2011? I heard somewhere that the budget was drastically cut back for medical funding, and that the medical care will be lacking, to the detriment of our loved ones.
