The Word Link module allows you to automatically convert specific words into links. It works as text filter.
This can be useful for crossposting your site's pages, or for the contextual advertising of your partners (SEO).
The bidirectional linking using the [[double brackets]] is not enough for me as it merely links me to another page. I want the capacity to link directly to a specific word (whether its on the same page or not). This can be achieved in Latex by the following:
That should be typed into your word document, and will go to cell ZX200 in worksheet Sheet1 in Excel. Using the information fro the hyperlink I had in my question, you now have a wonderful BIJECTION between Word and Excel hyperlinking. So that when you send people somewhere, you can also send them back!
What then happens is a Field is inserted in Word (that won't look like a hyperlink, but will be greyed out if the cursor is placed in the text). This field can link back to the specific cell in the Excel file by doing the following steps:
The most concise explanation I've found of the various ways to do this (Office 2013) is actually in the dialog that pops up on opening a file that contains links (after expanding the Show Help button). The first 2 options are relevant for Excel:
You can also manage many links in one place quite easily as described in this article, which also visually illustrates the above procedures. Options include automatic/manual updates and locking current values from updating.
I believe the intended question relates to a permanent link to a specific Excel value even if the value moves to a new cell. With Paste Link, if a row or column is inserted above or below the desired value, the referenced cell no longer contains the desired value. The integrity of the link is compromised, bring incorrect data or blank data into the Word doucment. Ideally, the user could use a Named Range in Excel and hyperlink to the named range. The named range will still follow the value if the item is moved in Excel.

Adding hyperlinks, also known as links, to text can provide access to websites and email addresses directly from your document. There are a few ways to insert a hyperlink into your document. Depending on how you want the link to appear, you can use Word's automatic link formatting or convert text into a link.
Hyperlinks have two basic parts: the address (URL) of the webpage and the display text. For example, the address could be , and the display text could be Popular Science Magazine. When you create a hyperlink in Word, you'll be able to choose both the address and the display text.
Word often recognizes email and web addresses as you type and will automatically format them as hyperlinks after you press Enter or the spacebar. In the image below, you can see a hyperlinked web address.

I've ran into the broken link problem in Indesign (13.1). I have a single Word doc of a book linked into an ID file. The layout has been completed and all looks great. But ID says the link needs to be updated. I update the Word doc link and the entire layout is ruined.
Therein lies the problem - the unembed link option is unavailable. The book is already laid out but it's still attached to the original Word ms. Once I update the link, the formatting is trashed. Any ideas?
I did try a temporary Word document and the Unlink works perfectly. There's something wrong with how the Word file was linked in. This happened a few years ago to me. I ignored the error but ran into problems when we had to update the book.

It's a simple problem, but a tricky one: How can you ensure that special words and phrases, like your company's name or certain trademarks, are always linked to an appropriate web site when they're used in the text of an article? The easy answer is Word Link module: it lets you set up a custom glossary of terms that should be turned into links whenever the appear in text.
Configuration is straightforward: once the module is turned on, administrators can choose what content types and what fields should receive the link treatment. Then word lists can be set up, each linking to a custom URL inside your site or on another server. Case-sensitive matching can be turned on and off for each word, and special "no-link" pages can be set up where the module won't apply its filtering. The result? Words are turned into links, wrapped in a special CSS tag that makes them easy to style, and you don't have to train your content administrators that "Our Company, Inc." should always link to the main corporate site.
The design of Word Link -- each linked word and phrase is its own custom record with unique settings -- means that it's best suited to a small but import list of names, key phrases, and so on rather than a massive glossary. The module also features a handy "only link the first n instances to the word" option, but in the current release that feature isn't working correctly. That said, it's a clean and self-contained solution to the problem that won't interfere with the rest of your editing tools!

Hi all,
I am new to wordpress.
I have written a simple text in wordpress classic editor. I now want to highlight a word and link to a table in tablepress, If I then subsequently click on the word, a new page opens with the table. As it works for example with the link to an image. How can I do this?
Thanks a lot
As for linking to a row, use this code: -i-link-to-specific-rows-in-tablepress-from-another-page/#post-13883302
(Essentially, add some HTML to the rows, and then the hashtag part to all links that should link to this row.)
