The last update added a Recent and Favorites Album in Gallery. The Recent Album has duplicates of EVERY photo and video on the phone. How is that a Recent Album? Also my main question about this new Recent Album is, does this Album just LINK the photos in the other Albums or are they actual duplicates that now doubles the size of the photos and videos on this phone?

I also see another potential problem of people not wanting an Album with duplicates of ALL their photos and videos and decide to delete the photos from the Recent Album without knowing that this action will delete ALL the photos and videos on their phone. Can you imagine the uproar this will create from all those people that lose everything in their Gallery?

I finally was able to talk with a Samsung agent. She said the Recent Folder does not add to the used storage space of your phone (not sure if that's correct but that's what she said. She also said that since the Recent folder is a new addition to the Gallery, it assumes all photos and videos in Gallery are NEW. I'm still not sure what the Recent folder is supposed to do. All my "recent" photos/vids. are the first to be listed in my Camera folder so I know they are recent. The Recent folder does exactly the same thing. Two folders with the same photos/videos that do the same thing. Samsung engineers really goofed on this one. I just hope it's true that the folder doesn't take up double the space on my phone. AND THE FACT THAT DELETING THE PHOTOS FROM YOUR RECENT FOLDER ALSO DELETES THEM FROM YOUR CAMERA FOLDER IS JUST PLAIN STUPID!!!! Yes, I typed that in capitals hoping that someone from Samsung will actually read it. Lol... I guess I'm an optimist.

But the only way to backup the entire gallery to my computer I have found is just the manual method of copying each involved directory that could contain those files. This is like some sort of nightmare, due to:

Isn't there a more simple way?
Both solutions involving Android's native or additional software (freeware preferred) are accepted.
If not possible, I could accept a solution involving to send the entire gallery to any cloud/internet and recovering it on the desktop.

We're good to backup anything here. Note that for restore the steps (as obvious) would be same but the locations at left and right pane would differ. Also, during restore, my phone freeze out a lot (the reason could be a low class SD card in device or altogether a program issue itself, IDK!)

you will see every single image file on your phone, sorted by the date of creation. You can select a full day by clicking on the little clock, or select a single picture by clicking on it. The same goes for unselecting.

In my case I Set it up in less than 2 minutes on my phone! I was already using sync on my pc and just needed to add the link to the folder and it was ready to go!I just had to enable camera backup and share the link to my pc.

Tufts University account holders that have access to any Canvas course site can upload videos or images directly from their iPhone or Android phone via the mobile Canvas app. There is a different app for teachers and students.

Please Note: You can only add videos directly to your media gallery for a specific course via the app. You can add media from your My Media to your Media Gallery but you cannot add new media to My Media.

If you took that video on an Android phone, then you're in luck: you can trim videos on Android devices using the Gallery app that came with your phone or tablet, easily creating clips of only the footage you want.

I'm trying to create a custom gallery that allows users to pick from all the photos and videos contained on their Android device. I know how to create a gallery of just photos and just videos, but if I want to combine both, how can I do this?

This gives me the error java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot bind argument at index 3 because the index is out of range. The statement has 1 parameters at android.database.DatabaseUtils.readExceptionFromParcel(DatabaseUtils.java:167)

Perhaps my approach is completely wrong, but I can't find any examples of custom android galleries using both images and videos, which is bizarre to me as this seems like it would be a common thing to create.

You may have snapped thousands of photos on your Android phone over the years. Maybe you're preparing to wipe your old phone to trade it in for a new Samsung Galaxy or just want to look at your photos on a big screen instead of the little black slab in your hand. No problem. You can transfer your photos to your Windows computer in a few different ways.

Android Beam uses NFC (Near Field Communication) to make a connection between two devices. This is the same technology used to allow you to make payments by touching your phone to a payment terminal in a shop. Obviously, this means that the two devices must be very close (or touching) to transfer data.

Overall, if you need to save a YouTube video to your phone gallery for personal use, there are several methods you can try. Just be sure to do so responsibly and in compliance with YouTube's terms of service and any applicable laws.

Before you start make sure that you have the Google Drive app downloaded and that you are signed in to your Allegheny account. If you wish to upload to YouTube directly from your smartphone make sure that you also have the YouTube Studio & YouTube apps downloaded respectively.

Photos and videos are the most common way to save a moment forever. Whether you want to store your multimedia on your phone's local storage or capitalize on cloud storage like Google Drive, Photos, etc., it is your choice.

However, when you want to transfer multiple photos from Google Photos to Gallery, you must know how to do it. Follow our step-by-step guide on how to effortlessly move your cherished photos from Google Photos to your device's gallery.

However, we recommend using AirDroid Personal to transfer images and videos to your phone for offline access. The app is available for users of all devices and ecosystems. Therefore, you get an all-in-one tool to make file transfer and management.

Google Photos is a popular photo-sharing and storage app developed by Google. The app can safely back up all images that you keep on your Android smartphone to the cloud and restore them when needed. It can also automatically remove backed up images, which sometimes causes users who are not familiar with this feature to panic. But fear not, recovering photos from Google Photos is simple.

Using an SD card as secondary storage gives you the ability to store far more photos than you ever could by relying on the internet memory alone. However, it also exposes you to the danger of losing thousands of photos at the same time, which is why we need to take a closer look at how to recover deleted photos from SD card on Android phones with SD card recovery software applications.

By default, most Android devices save images to internal storage, and such images are automatically displayed in the Android gallery. Based on your operating system, pick one of the two methods provided in this chapter to learn how to recover deleted photos from Android gallery.

Disk Drill for Mac has been helping Android users recover deleted photos from Android phones for quite some time now, and it can help you too if you follow the instructions below even though you might not need them because Disk Drill is easy to figure out.

The good news is that Android tablets are essentially just larger Android smartphones, so you can use the same tools to retrieve deleted photos from them. We recommend Disk Drill for Mac because of its proven reliability and exceptional ease of use.

You can recover pictures that have been permanently deleted from your Android gallery using data recovery software with support for Android devices, such as Disk Drill for macOS (the Windows version can recover data from Android memory cards):

To stop WhatsApp from saving photos and videos in your Android phone's gallery, launch WhatsApp, tap on the three-dot menu button, and access the Settings. Tap on Chats, and make sure Media visibility is toggled off.

Just like with Android, you can get contact-specific for your media download needs with WhatsApp for iOS. Simply launch WhatsApp and open a conversation with the person you want to change the setting for. Tap on the name, nickname, or phone number that shows up on the top side. Tap on the Save to Camera Roll option. Select Never.

When working with both Windows and macOS, you may have to put your phone in file transfer mode. To do this, connect your Android device, tap the Charging this device via USB notification that automatically pops up, find Use USB for, and select File Transfer.
