I wish I wasn't writing to you about another puppy like this.
But yesterday, a AWIP-supported frontline rescuer in the Philippines rescued Koda.
He's only four or five months old.
Someone struck him with such brutal force that his lower jaw was shattered.
Imagine the fear. The agony. A terrified puppy, unable to defend himself, left in excruciating pain.
By the time we rescued him, Koda was so severely malnourished he was struggling to survive. A veterinarian believes his injuries are consistent with a violent blunt-force attack.
Who could do this to a defenceless puppy?
Koda is finally safe and receiving emergency veterinary care. But the person responsible should not simply disappear without consequence.
They should face the maximum jail sentence allowed by law.
Animal abusers must know that if they commit acts of cruelty like this, there will be severe consequences.
Birgitt, will you add your name today to demand the maximum jail sentence for the person who did this to Koda?
Every signature tells those responsible that the world is watching and that we will never stop demanding justice for animals like Koda.
