Por fin me funciona el Xcom en winxp, aunque es un poco lío hacerlo funcionar!

Instrucciones:

I launched XCOM on XP.
1. Download crack for Torchlight 2 or get steam_api.dll and steam_rld.ini from that game (you need only working steam_api.dll, but torchlight 2 crack works only with steam_rld.ini. possibly other game's cracks will work, but not sure) (OS MANDO LO ARCHIVOS DIRECTAMENTE)
2. Copy and overwrite steam_api.dll and steam_rld.ini to \Binaries\Win32

(Ahora lo "pesado")

You see, the game is using some file functions that are only available on Vista or later. This is the only thing that is preventing the game from running, amusingly enough. There is an API from MS itself that will allow these functions on XP, but it has not been implemented in the game... Os mando el link porque tiene links al archivo zernel32.dll necesario.

4. Play

PS if game crashes on starting new game, go to \XComGame\Movies and rename CIN_Intro_Movie_LOC.bik and 1080_CIN_Intro_Movie_LOC.bik or make dummy files with this names.
