Iam working on perforated metal sheet. The sheet is sized 1000x2000mm and it has 5mm round holes all over. My problem is when i try to extrude the sheet the app crashes constantly. I tried to cut it into smaller parts and then extrude. It worked partly but it would be great if I could extrude the whole sheet in one go.

Hello @emilts, We would advice you to create a solid body out of the rectangle first using Extrude tool then subtract the circles using Subtract tool to avoid having imprint the whole body into already coincident sketches. That will fix the issue as we think that the app is crashing due to the device running out of memory because it might be an imprinting issue.

Thanks?

Whenever you generally experience any crashing with Enscape, feel free to directly submit a feedback report as detailed here. Doing so will transfer log files and machine information which we can use to troubleshoot this as quickly as possible.

As mentioned above, receiving a dedicated feedback report with logs is usually always most helpful for troubleshooting - In this case, simply press the first button in the prompt to "Close Enscape and send feedback" and you will hear back from our technical support team very soon.

I have submitted multiple crash reports and heard nothing back. Mirror reflections are also still a major issue and its getting to a point where i'm embarrassed to submit work to clients where mirrors are present.

Hi there, I have the same problem here. When I open a Sketch-up project and after that opening the Enscape software. The software SKetch-up and Enscape crashes by projects of 50 mb or or higher. Then I see a buggsplash from Sketch-up.

PennineDesign , you also should've gotten a response back from our technical support team via the feedback report you've submitted. Make sure to please also roll back your NVIDIA drivers. Also, even though this feature is available in previews so far only, you can check out Preview 14 here which should improve mirror reflections. If you still experience unwanted behavior after the steps above (in terms of mirror reflections and crashing), please let me know.

Feel free to still also send in a report with logs as I've mentioned to you before - If you've already sent us one no worries, although I cannot find any tied to your e-mail yet for example. You also won't need to upgrade to 3.4.4 again to send in the report, as we'll still receive all the required logs despite having 3.3.1 reinstalled on your machine. I appreciate your cooperation.

Enscape keeps crashing when starting it in Sketchup Pro 2021 on Windows 10. I am using a free trial as I only need it for the coming week since I have a deadline. An error while rendering message keeps popping up and it doesn't open and then it crashes. It is saying that the GPU is using NVIDIA. I don't know what that means or what I should do next. Can you help please as I really need to work with Enscape. Thanks

Boa noite Demian. J no consigo apresentar os erros, pois a minha nica soluo passou por fazer um downgrade do Enscape para a verso 3.1+75071, uma vez que tinha que apresentar imagens do projeto ao cliente, durante o dia de hoje.

Since this behavior can occur due to multiple reasons we'll still require that feedback report as detailed in my last reply - This way we can let you know why the project seems to crash in Enscape 3.4.

As a next step would you be so kind as to briefly share the e-mail address used in the feedback submission form before you were submitting said report(s)? Via a direct message ideally for confidentially. Then I can check our system to see whether or not we have received them, because at the moment there are none tied specifically to the e-mail you are using to log into this Forum.

I am crashing all the time in Layout and SketchUp 2024 as well. It seems to be for random reasons, like moving an object. It also gets stuck when updating the model in layout. I did send all the crashes in. I turned off all the non-native extensions and had similar issues.

We are looking into issues where the SketchUp view stops updating, though so far that has all been on M3 Macs. Yours is an i7 Intel Mac. I will add a link to the bug report so the developer looking into the issue can see your bugsplats.

I switched back to 2023 last night, and it still took a long time. My site model is 200+ MB, which is a big one for me, so that is part of the problem. Maybe I could do some cleanup, but I do kind of need most of it in there. All the groups and components are mostly low poly, including the plants, which are 2D pngs.

The taking a long time to export from LayOut may well be due to the Document Stup, Rendering option, Output Override. In 2023.0 that was set to on by default, and if you worked on a document and saved it, it would still be on. Open your document and see if you can uncheck that, then try an export.

Typically, the working time is the critical factor and the export time is not a big deal as I can set it and go do something else. But I have turned that off and changed the ones needed. FYI, I have the new graphics engine off.

Many times I open anki it keeps crashing. I never used to have that problem. It happens either when I upload the anki or if I am doing the anki exercises. Usually it crashes without warning. Even if I on anki for awhile it suddenly crashes. .

I just updated to 2024 v4 and now the software keeps crashing when I try to open a file. I have restarted the computer several times even powering it off completly and letting it sit for a minute and still crashes when I open a file. I was hoping this update would fix the issue with the settings box not resizing in the object info pallet, but this has made the software 100% unusable. Is there a way to revert back to the previous version?

I have sent an email for help. Nothing seems to be working I was able to get it to finally open a new drawing, but it is glacially slow compared to before the update. Also according to the Windows task manager the Vectorworks program is using almost 4.1GB of Memory which seems like a lot. I will update the post once I know more. Thinking of uninstalling the program and reinstalling it, but I am waiting for support to reach out first. Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

Hi Pete. Just a fui, that didnt work, thankfully I had a full VW24 sp2 install which i reinstalled and then updated back to 3.1 which is working fine. I'll just wait until I see news of sp4 being fixed or sp 5 coming out.

It's not regional, it's the update itself. Since the update my VW crashes also, and when it doesn't, it is so slow you would think it's frozen. After finally opening a file that worked the day before (which took about 40 minutes) I finally gave up since I couldn't navigate the file at all. I have the latest Studio Driver from nVidia installed, I will try and install the Gaming one since it's newer, and if that doesn't work I will delete the AIvisualizer as someone suggested, and if that doesn't work I will install the previous update.

I'm having the same issues and not in NZ...update 4 crashes before it's even opened properly, and running Repair hasn't helped. Trying downloading the updater again now, but it wasn't finding a 4a, just saying I'm up to date...

Thanks for this tip, it does seem to have at least worked enough to get the program open without crashing...! I can't get U4a, wouldn't re-download update saying not enough space and also unknown error.

Hi @MacIntyr I'm sorry you're having these problems. Your current situation sounds very unusual. I think the best thing rather than out here in the forum is to go to the Customer Portal and click the support link at the top and fill out a Support Request Form. That way it'll be in the system with more eyes on it than possibly here.

Hello @gangotti,

Please contact your local technical support through your customers portal.

In the mean time I have seen some issues with Nvidia graphic card drivers that would cause this. See if you are using an Nvidia graphics card and update your graphics drivers. It might fix the issue straight away.

Hello again @gangotti try one thing for me, remove the GenerateImage.vlb file from the Vectorworks Plugins folder. We saw a problem with the AI Visualizer yesterday but only sometimes on Windows 10. Curious if that is a factor at all.

@JuanP nothing - I double click and get the busy cursor for a couple of seconds and thats it. I've rebooted and also done a clean install of VW from the customer portal after doing the update from the updater. This is happening on my office and home PC's where 3.1 was working perfectly.
