Australia: May 19-20, 2008, New Zealand: May 21-22, 2008

 

Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

We are pleased to inform you that FICCI, along with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, is taking a delegation to Australia and New Zealand, accompanying the Hon’ble Commerce & Industry Minister, Shri Kamal Nath.

 

The Tentative Programme for Australia and New Zealand is   –    In Australia, there would be an Interactive Round Table Meetings in different Sectors in Sydney on May 19, 2008 and a Joint Business Council Meeting (JBC) would take place in Melbourne on May 20. (The JBC Meeting will be held back-to-back with the Joint Ministerial Meeting (JMC) between the two Governments).

 

The Business Meetings in New Zealand are being planned for May 21 in Auckland to be followed by a JBC Meeting in Wellington on May 22.

 

The Sectors of interest for both Countries  - Australia and New Zealand are - Pharmaceuticals, Infrastructure Development, Mining, Oil & Gas, Water Management, Education, Soil Conservation & Waste Disposal, Agribusiness, Food Processing, Forestry, Wool, Chemicals, Textiles, Steel, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Consultancy Services, Tourism, amongst others.

 

In view of the importance of the meeting and your business interest in the region, may I request you to kindly join the delegation. In case you are preoccupied, you may depute a senior executive from your organisation for participating in the same.

 

To defray part of the secretariat expenses, FICCI is obliged to charge a delegation fee of Rs. 35, 000/- only for Australia and New Zealand and Rs. 25, 000/- only for one Country. The cheque/ DD should be drawn in favour of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The participants will have to bear their travel and accommodation expenses.
