If you have access to a different machine that's not having issues, you should be able to copy the entire WinX folder into yours and see if that corrects the problem. If you don't have access to a different machine, there's a possibility that you can just create another user profile on your machine, see if your right-click is working there, and copy that folder over if it is.

No idea how this happened. plasmashell was crashing after consuming 6gb memory and I'd tried removing /.cache. Shortly after all plasmashell would do is start my desktop background with a wallpaper, but wouldn't give me any taskbar and I couldn't bring up a menu by right clicking the desktop.

I know this post is really really old but today also still this bug not solved by KDE. It happens lot of time but cofig again and again is really annoying & irritating but today I found the quickest & easiest solution for it. Just hit ALT+F2 and type "ksysguard" , Open it then find "Kwin_x11" right click on it then click on send signal and final step is click on Interrupt(INT) within 5-10 Seconds display will it turn black and you will return in login section as soon as you login. Panel(s), Wallpaper etc... everything back on track..... I mean whatever configuration is in use you brought it back as it was exactly before this problem appeared.I am not sure about the application you are using that session will recover or not. Because this happen with me while doing System update so please anyone use this method and your application session restore or not update give us an update if in case station not been restore and somehow you restored it let us know how you did that thanks in advance "help for help"

It was activating a few options of compiz config, but when it activates the option "wallpaper", to be able to have different images in every office. first I unite awhile the screen, which is normal, that in order that it works this option it is necessary to deactivate a thing in ubuntu tweak or in gnome tweak tool, after deactivating it works perfectly. But later I realized that when I right click on the desktop nothing happens. I found that for arregrarlo gconf-publisher had to open, go to apps > nautilus > preferences, and to activate show "desktop", but me this option does not appear, only it goes out saying:

If you are using the trackpad, you can set preferences ... Under system preferences, click on TrackPad and put a checkmark on Click or tap with two fingers for Secondary click. Then you can use 2 fingers on the trackpad to simulate a right-click.

Hello there! I just installed arch linux.
I installed gnome as well but I have some major problems.
I cannot right click in any panel, I actually have no desktop (I can see only it's color but no icons/no right clicks).
Also, now and then the windows that appear are filled with black color/lines!!! My cursor is also really weird, it's kind of a white box with some black dots... when I try to take snapshots, only black lines appear in the shot.

Something happened to my Mac, I can no longer right click on the desktop and the contents of my desktop folder don't show up on my desktop, it's just blank. If I open Finder and then open my desktop folder I can see everything there.

I've install Zorin 15 lite on a custom pc and everything was working great. I watched a video on youtube about 15 things do after installing Zorin and followed all the steps and now I can't see any of my desktop items and can't right-click either. Any help is appreciated. TIA!

I just did a fresh install of windows and start11 is really buggy all of a sudden. yes - I did a full uninstall and it didn't fix it. But its not letting me right click say, the date and time, and select any options there, or open the volume mixer.

When User1 signs into RDSH1 and setups up their account everything is fine. They configure their Quick Access toolbar in Office 2010 to their preference and sign off by right clicking on the start button and selecting sign off.

This is consistent with multiple users and stays true that if they are setup on RDSH1 they will have the ability to right click the Start button only on RDSH1. If they are setup on RDSH2 they can only right click the Start button on RDSH2. Soon as they switch to the other RDSH server they are no longer able to right click. Same with the Office Quick Access toolbar settings.

I have the same issue, when i deploy our redirected profiles, the right click on the start button quits working. But if i remove redirected profiles, it works, if i delete the redirected profile and have it rebuild, it works on the first login but any future logins the right click does not work. Did you ever find a solution?

When using the new Administrative user account it seems to be missing a lot of right click context menu actions such as Create Shortcut, Create File, etc. The only context action I can see is 'Create Folder'.

Actually I use RDP from a Mac all the time to Windows servers. The right-click can be simulated with a two finger tap on a track pad. The same behaviour works from a magic mouse and magic track pad.

Ok I have read up a lot of posts, but nothing seems to work. The problem....
On windows 10 systems such as my own build 20H2 (19042.985) and some of my clients, when you right click on an icon for example to unpin it or right click on File Manger that is open to open a second instance the menu does not pop up.

All right folks have solved this problem. It's two fold in a sense.
First off I found a link that led me to a registry change at this link... -click-on-taskbars-icon-and-slabs-in-start-will-not-open-context-menu-on-w?rq=1
There are two folders there that will fix the problem in most cases.
secondarily and maybe combined is a program called "StarIsBack" that I use and many of my clients use. In my case removing the two GUID folders didn't solve he problem until I updated StartIsBack. So there is a tie but I have no idea what.

I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me with this issue that i'm having. I'm trying to access my OneDrive settings because my folders are not syncing. So that i can synchronize them, i know i have to go to my OneDrive settings. When i right click on the OneDrive icon in the taskbar, there is no "settings" option that comes up, which is really weird because i have seen it there before and i know that it should be there.

Hi @Li_Jingyuan I checked from my end but are able to open and select options from the right click menu from the desktop app and browser. If you are still seeing an issue I would suggest trying to clear your cache and see if that helps improve. I would also suggest checking to make sure your Figma preferences are setup correctly.

Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.

The past week I've been unable to righ click songs or playlists in my spotify desktop application about 90% of the time. Clicking the three dots to the right of a song normally to show more options doesn't work either This means I'm unable to in any way shape or form add songs to playlists. I'm no longer able to share links to music. I cannot even queue a song. Spotify has worked extremely poorly for quite some time with browsing and loading playlists for view, but at least I've been able to access the most basic functions as adding songs to a playlist or queuing.

I'm having exactly the same issue with regards to being unable to right-click on songs the vast majority of the time. It seems the quality of the app deteriorates significantly by the week. It's insane how bad an app like this can be in 2019, especially considering we are paying for it monthly. Absolutely unacceptable at this point.

I don't know, how that happened but before today I could right click on any folder and there would be and an option Git Bash here. But today I dont have that option. Anyone knows how to get that back?

Had the same issue , realized that previously right clicking anywhere or inside the folder the Option would show but now I had to select or highlight the folder and then right_click for the option to show.

After Windows 11 update, it got invisible. I first uninstalled the older version and installed the latest 2.35 version. it was still not visible. It is still there albeit inside another folder in the context menu that comes with a right click.By going inside any folder right-click INSIDE that folder, in German OS there isShift + F10 combination you have it there like before. Or without this shortcut combination go inside Further option (This last) it is there.

One of my co-workers pointed out that once the desktop has finished loading and is running in windowed mode, I can right click on the window title bar at the top of the screen and select the 'Resize Session' option. I then select 'Custom' from the Desktop Size list and enter the resolution of the monitor I want to run the desktop on, in my case 1920x1080.

I can then drag this window to one of my external monitors and click the 'full screen' box in the upper right and it fits my external monitor screen perfectly, but still allows me to access my local desktop and task bar on all three monitors. The only drawback is that there appears to be no way to save these settings between sessions.

I am not sure if this is a bug coming from Affinity Photo or Windows or if it is even a bug bu here is the deal:
I know you can alter the hardness and size of the brush by holding CTRL + ALT + right click and if I perform the shortcut everything works as it should.
However, if I want to perform the actions with my pen stylus instead nothing happens. I only get this annoying white ring as seen in the attached picture.

My pen (Wacom Pro L) is set to perform right click and it works. Only Affinity Photo seems to not get the right click input from the stylus...
Can somebody please help me? It slows down my workflow so much it really gets me angry and frustrated.

Is there a way to set the shortcut combination to something different? I tried to find it in the settings but the only thing I can find for brush size ist [ or ] and that does not help me.
