I work in an organization that has a print server setup on Windows 2012 R2. We have several printers installed and working fine, but this HP Neverstop is giving us quite a bit of trouble.
Not using the server, we can have a computer "share" the printer and it works fine -- driver "HP Neverstop Laser MFP 120x PCLm-S" is installed on local computers.
Trying to deploy the printer on the server though, we don't have that driver there, and unfortunately "Universal Printing PCL 6" doesn't seem to cut it with the neverstop.
I've tried installing the proper driver on the Windows Server 2012 R2, but I keep getting a message telling me that the operating system is not supported, despite picking the installation package that says it supports Windows Server 2012 R2. Does anybody know how to fix this?
Please follow below steps to install the drivers using the command line on a server, not by following a standard installation process. Although he document is intended for other printer models it applies for your printer as well and should allow installing the driver:
Instalei Neverstop Laser 1200A via usb em um computador tranquilo. Ao final da instalao fiz ela compartilhada. Agora quando estou via no grupo domestico e quando tento instalar em outro PC com ela compartilhada pesquisa no windows update e nao encontra driver. (Sempre fiz isso em varios modelos. Exemplo: \\nome-pc\HP Neverstop Laser MFP 120x PCLmS. clica botao direito-> conectar.)
Tem o arquivo *.inf para enviar? ou existe outra maneira de proceder instalao via compartilhamento?Esta impressora nao permite Compartilhamento? Caso nao permita compartilhamento devo adquirir qual print server compativel com este modelo neverstop 1200a?
Todas impressoras de modelos antigos e ate alguns atuais nunca restrigiram o compartilhamento via rede. Por essa impressora pedi o driver no windows 10 pro quando vai compartilhar e nao encontra no windows update?
