I Get the following message on my screen when I go to Sync.
A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in
Outlook. Do you want to allow this.
Wheher I press Yes or No the Synce Screen for Outoolk show a No Entry
sign and will not Sync.
Message reads:
Failed to retieve Outlook Calendar item.
Attempted to read or write protected memory

Any thoughts

Seems like your version of Outlook has some kind of security mechanism
that prevents access to TieCal... What version of Outlook (Office) is
this?

Sorry for the late reply, this must have been lost in my inbox somehow.

I did some quick checks online, and it seems that if Outlook doesn't
find a compatible anti virus scanner installed, it will always prompt
when something is trying to access email and calendar stuff.

There is a switch inside outlook which can turn this off, on my
version (2007) it is inside Tools->Trust Center... and in the dialog
window that opens, there is one line that says "Programmatic Access".
If you click on that, you should be able to set Outlook to never warn.

This may not be the best long term solution, but you could at least
try it and see if it solves your problem. If it does, you can either
leave it like that or (I recommend) install an anti virus program
(there are many free online, I personally use Avast Personal Edition
(avast.com) but others may be just as good or better)
