Option 1): Give sessions of training in rouging (based on at least 30 characters) and CP prevention to a last batch of conservators this year, beginning at the transplanting phase in late July. At least 12 committed trainees will be trained, each of whom will receive the seeds of 100+ landraces, to grow in their respective farms. If less than 12 are willing, and if they cannot commit to maintain the genetic purity of at least 100 landraces in their custody, I will not start the training sessions.

Option 2): Train just 1 or 2 motivated persons, who will share my dream and ideal of reviving the native seeds in situ, as a primary means to achieving seed sovereignty, and join Vrihi's workforce to characterise all the thousand landraces each year, and rouge out the off types, before distributing the genetically pure seed samples to farmers for free, as we have done since 1997.

For both categories of conservators, I shall remain available to assist and advise.
