日印インフラ協力 Japan MP and IIM Director on Infra Partnership

お世話になっております。暑い日が続いておりますがいかがお過ごしでしょうか？
さて、インド新幹線、多数の地下鉄や都市交通、ムンバイ海上大橋など日印インフラ協力も日々進んでいます。6月29日1830時インドで「交通インフラ経営」分野で最も評価されている先生のインド経営大学バンガロール学長ラグラム先生とインド友好若手議員の会会長、海外インフラ輸出促進議員連盟会長竹本直一議員と一緒に小生の対談を新丸ビル10階21㏄にて開催致します。
過去2013年にも添付のように同じ場所で日本の新幹線のインドへの進出に対してラグラム先生とIITの鉄道専門の先生達と去年自民党テレビ( https://youtu.be/fCHGtaz10eU?t=13s )で竹本議員が小生と一緒に対談して頂き結論は日本の新幹線の安全性と日本の低コスト・長期的の資金力が欠かせない事だと言う事でした。
29日は現在の協力環境と今後の機会と課題に対して話が出来ればと思います。

While India has leapfrogged in IT, we need a lot of work in public infrastructure for manufacturing, economic distribution and quality of life.
Chairman of Japan's Infrastructure Export Parliamentarian Committee and Chairman of India-Japan Young Parliamentarians' Friendship League, MP Takemoto Naokazu,
along with India's leading expert on public infrastructure management Prof. G Raghuram, Director or IIM Bangalore and formerly Chairperson of Public Systems Group at IIM Ahmadabad,
will be with us on June 29th 1830-2030 at 21CC 10F, Shin Marunouchi Building, Tokyo, for a discussion on India-Japan Collaboration in Infrastructure.
Another discussion I had organized and moderated in 2013 on the theme of Indian Bullet Train, joined by Prof. Raghuram, Prof. Mukhopadhyay (now dean of International Relations of IIT Kharagpur) and MP
Miyauchi (now the Vice Minister of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Japan),
and another dialogue on LDP TV with MP Takemoto https://youtu.be/fCHGtaz10eU?t=13s , two key takeaways were:
1. Safety is paramount for high speed railways in India, for which Japan has the best track record in the world with zero fatalities in 50 years of history of very intense operations.
2. Even though the first bullet train may not be easily commercially viable in India, we need to start soon and the low cost funding from Japan, at near zero NPV, can help make it feasible.
On 29th we look forward to discuss a wider range of topics in Japan-India Collaboration in Public Infrastructure like the Shinkansen, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Metros and others.
