For review: Draft TCRP Research Problem Statement

Jeff Becker and I have drafted a Research Problem Statement for the FY 2018 Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) that is directly in line with the TIDES Project.  Please take a look, Comments are welcome.  

You will see section IX asks for the names of people developing the project.  TIDES is very much a group effort and we would love to list as many of you as possible as being involved and interested in the success of the effort. 

The proposal is due June 16, so please respond this week if you are interested in being listed.  You can reach me by email at john....@metrotransit.org

Thank you to those of you who provided comments on the initial draft of the TCRP research proposal  A revised, near final, draft is attached.  I have also attached a template letter of support.  If you like the research proposal and would like to send a letter of support, please do so by June 14.  (You can just email me a PDF of the letter.)  The more support there is from the industry, the more likely the project is to be selected.

For those keeping track, here is the final TCRP proposal that was submitted last Friday.  We received 10 letters of support which is great!
