Hi everyone,

It was a very interesting project, but I was able to use TheDiveO's `tw5-fontawesome` npm repo to update his plugin to the latest version of Font Awesome 5 (5.13.0). Because I only updated the embedded font, I did change the plugin version number to 1.2.19 (I hope that doesn't cause a problem).

The easiest way to distribute this was to fork the repo, and update the GitHub Pages demo wiki. You can find the plugin *.tid file and a link to the demo below:

I have also attached the "plugin.info" version to this post (to serve on Node.js as a "folder" plugin jut place in your ./plugins/TheDiveO/FontAwesome folder).

Best,
Joshua F

Thanks Joshua,
I also note the TW is updated from 5.1.19 to 5.1.22p

Minor comment
- please update the history tiddler
- I may recommend to add your name and short description of update

I love the way to bundle the whole plugin as a plugin.info! How did you it like that?

This is absolutely a great plugin. His other plugin ThirdFlow is among the best and I use it on daily basis.

Mohammad,

Thank you! I have updated the $:/.../history tiddler and sent TheDive0 pull-requests for both the master and gp-pages branches.

Until those are updated, you can find a copy of the plugin for use here (the only update from the last post is the History Tiddler).

Best,
Joshua Fotnany

Joshua,

Would you be happy to make the Cheatsheet easy to install?, I have a resources Wiki on top of Bob where I collect materials I use for design. It would be nice to include the cheatsheet there.

Regards
Tony

I am actually exploring how to get the SVGs from font-awesome into tiddlywiki (and possibly a native way to render them as PNG tiddlers that can be exported).

Until then, you can definitely grab the cheatsheet from the example wiki. I've attached a *.json bundle which I exported via the Advanced Search with the following filter `[all[tiddlers]prefix[$:/fontawesome]] [[Cheatsheet]]`.

Joshua,

Thanks for that. I will add it to my resources wiki, a bob where I accumulate resources for use in other wikis.

  • The ability to re-render an svg as PNG would be great, very helpful to reduce the steps involved getting and setting a favicon
  • A little feature you could include, I am yet to invent,
    • is a way to import tiddlers to the same wiki, eg rather than export the PNG be able to save it in the current TiddlyWiki. The fact is that dragging and dropping then importing you can rename the $:/import tiddler and you have a JSON tiddler with the tiddlers contained within it. This allows for the creation of draggable tiddlers / plugins and more.
    • Recent support to export binary tiddlers should then allow one to export a png to a file anytime later, so perhaps a filename or extension field would be appropriate (But I think the type field may be enough.
Thanks again for the cheatsheet.

Regards
Tony
