hi everybody,

on my ubuntu 13.04 mashine using Firefox 20/21, there is a serious bug hampering editing of individual tiddlers in TW5. Replicate:
  1. Open a new tiddler
  2. write a long text (making the text flow out of the editing window)
  3. end editing
  4. start editing the same tiddler
  5. try adding something to the end of the tiddler. On my system, any input will result in the viewport jumping to the head of the tiddler being edited. Input is possible, but must happen "blind", as the viewport will jump back up after every keystroke.

I'll gladly help diagnosing this, if somebody tells me how.

Best,

Peter

Update: This only seems to be a problem while I am editing the bottom-most tiddler.

I have encountered the same problem with TW5. I am running Windows 7 and Firefox 21 and have TiddlyFox installed.

Hi Cameron & Peter

Thanks for the heads up. I'm seeing the same problem in Firefox 21 on OS X, but not in any other browsers. It seems that my code for automatically resizing textareas is tickling a bug in Firefox. I've not found a decent workaround yet - the best so far is to change the code to only ever expand the textarea, never to reduce it's size if text is deleted. I'll play around a bit more,

Best wishes

Jeremy

That seems to have done the trick--I cannot replicate the error again.

Thanks!
