I have just done the necessary DNS magic to switch tiddlywiki.com over
from running on its own custom virtual web server to using Github
Pages for hosting. The primary motivation is to enable us to do
updates to tiddlywiki.com much more rapidly.

There shouldn't be any impact to the change, but do please let me know
if you see anything unusual when trying to access tiddlywiki.com.

cdent/TiddlySpace - the alpha itself has been updated as per Eric's
post earlier today, but no files have been moved or deleted, so I
think you shouldn't notice a difference.

Best wishes

Hello Jeremy,

You asked for anything unusual in relation to this move to Github, and yes there is one:
In trying to access TW's archive on
http://www.tiddlywiki.com/archive/
one gets a Github 404 warning.
I trust it to be an easy thing to also move the archive?
Thanks and w/best regards,

Hi Ton

Thanks for the heads up. The archives are there, it's just that we forgot to add an index.html directory file. We'll fix it, but in the meantime you can access the archive through https://github.com/tiddlywiki/tiddlywiki.github.com

Best wishes

I've just come back from holiday to find that tiddlywiki.com wasn't
working at all, instead redirecting to GitHub's 404 page.

It seems that the CNAME file that GitHub Pages requires was missing,
which I have now added:

https://github.com/TiddlyWiki/tiddlywiki.github.com/commit/c3669dd66cc7f28d1f167668d1f5a6fc245bbabf

Now the site is working again. I've tested the download button in the
latest version of Firefox and it appears to be working as expected.

I'm thoroughly confused as to what's happened here. Without the CNAME
file the transfer to GitHub Pages shouldn't have worked at all, and
yet everything seemed to be fine before I went away. I'll investigate
further and report back,

Best wishes

I've added an index file so now you can browse directly to
