This issue, identifies a circumstance that causes undesired "scrolls to autofocus". I seem to have this happen also under other circumstances but fail to pinpoint it to repeat it. This is very annoying.

Is it possible to disable autofoci (yeah, that's plural) ? Ideally in a controlled manner - but otherwise all together? Specifically, I suspect it is the autofocus on title in editview that works as an "attractor" for scroll"... but if this is disabled, then maybe the next autofocus in turn will become the problem.

Possible? I can only find a setting for disabling autofocus on search, but this is not causing problems.

Thanks!

Hi Mat

Browsers do indeed attempt to scroll autofocused elements into view.  But it’s unrelated to the linked github issue; as explained there, the problem there stems from the way that the classic storyview handles removing elements from the story.

Anyhow, we could add an option to disable the autofocus of titles of draft tiddlers. I’d suggest exploring things by making some judicious changes to $:/core/ui/EditTemplate/title

Best wishes

Jeremy.

Thanks for clarifying why this was another matter than in the link.
