Showing BasicAuth username as default tiddler

Hi all, I'm missing something obvious so I apologize for a simple question I should know by now...

I want to set "Default Tiddlers" in ControlPanel to be:

[[{{$:/status/UserName}}]]

but I'm not transcluding it right. Is there a better variable I should use?

It should be enough to have

{{$:/status/UserName}}
