Information on the tiddler type field and creating new ones

Folks,

I noticed looking at $:/core/templates/css-tiddler that this template wraps the text in the style tag. Makes sense.

This is something I would like to do with other content types in a subset of tiddlers. Thus I think perhaps making my own tiddler type may be a valid way forward.

Can anyone point me to some documentation that may help me do this?

I know this relates to mime types and has confused me in the past however I hope my understanding has improved.

There is also a variant by BJ that lets you use raw regular expressions in a hybrid content type.

I use it a lot. its very good if you don't want have to write a JS parser.

Hi Tony

The template $:/core/templates/css-tiddler is used in the HTML templates that the core uses for saving the main HTML file and the various static views. It’s not used in the browser for the main page. So I think that it’s maybe a red herring; is your underlying desire to be able to wrap tiddlers with a certain MIME type with some HTML? That kind of thing would require writing a parser module in JS.
