Following along with Developing plugins using Node.js and GitHub, I can at the end of the process open up the output at tw5.com/output/ndex.html, find my plugin tiddler, and export it.

Is there a recommended way via command line to save a *.tid file for release?

Hi Matt,

Plugins are best distributed with a wiki edition. That's means, you should have a wiki, with a detailed description, so users get more then the readme of the plugin.

The plugin should contain a reference documentation. eg: description of every parameter and 2-3 usage examples.

The edition can contain much more info and examples, if needed.

So most of the time plugins are distributed with the wiki :) see: https://wikilabs.github.io/

have fun!
