Hi Folks,

As I do regularly I am reviewing the current pre-release. The Keyboard Driven input macro looks very powerful, but I am still to work it out.

Many of the other changes are looking good and I hope we may release a new version soon.

  • There is a potentially revolutionary solution here re custom content, I hope a plugin will come soon, but it may eventually be considered core functionality.

All of the following I foresee using in the near future if available.

  1. Added new slugify Operator and duplicateslugs Operator for generating human readable filenames/URLs
  2. Added new sortsub Operator for sorting by a user defined subfilter
  3. Updated LinkWidget to work within SVG elements
  4. Added accept attribute to the BrowseWidget
  5. Added support for recording the startup timestamp in $:/info/startup-timestamp (see InfoMechanism)
  6. Added support for SVG favicons
  7. Extended WidgetMessage: tm-rename-tiddler to control whether relinking occurs
  8. Extended WidgetMessage: tm-import-tiddlers to override the title $:/Import and to better control whether the import tiddler is opened automatically
  9. Extended the trim Operator to optionally trim off a prefixing or suffixing string from input tiddler titles
Questions
  • For item 7 in the above list, Extended WidgetMessage: tm-rename-tiddler to control whether relinking occurs.
    • How does this relate to the relink plugin?
  • Keyboard Driven input macro
    • If I understand correctly since it has actions available it will help accepting input and then transferring it to a field in the current tiddler
    • This will be a powerful solution to the difficulty of editing fields in the current tiddler, thus may be quite revolutionary
    • The following test did not commit the selected date to the storeTitile on selection or enter after
      • <$macrocall $name=keyboard-driven-input storeTitle="storeTitle" primaryListFilter="[tag[TableOfContents]]" type=date tag="input"/>
Do ask me if you need documentation and user review steps.

Thanks and no pressure intended, only reflecting a strong desire of these changes to go into production

Regards
Tones

Questions
The relink plugin "replaces" the core function, but uses the same "signal"
