Folks,

Would it be possible to introduce a hack to tiddlywiki, that would allow the designer to set some actions when clicking on a missing link, ideally so when a missing link is found, and clicked these actions may create the tiddler from a template, or with a tag etc..

Why,

This is a method by which a user may create a tiddler on a wiki where the new tiddler buttons etc... have being set to use a template, it is one way we can not currently trap to create tiddlers according to a standard or template.

A simple not taker app, may be designed to create only "notes", but if someone clicks a missing link they will create a tiddler that is not a "note", just a tiddler.

Regards
Tony

Folks,

I would still like an answer to this question, however I rediscovered a technique I previously discovered.

missing tiddler
Missing tiddler "missing tiddler" – click  to create
When you do follow the link of a missing tiddler then "as above" appears, and you can detect this in the view template and rather than ask for "edit to create" you can provide an alternate creating method that uses a template.

This allows us to create tiddlers before we understand what they are or mean, which is cool.
