LessBackupsPlugin in Firefox 17

Has anyone noticed LessBackupsPlugin not working anymore after upgrading Firefox to v17.0.1? I really like this plugin and I notice now, a few weeks after upgrade FF, that it's not working anymore, but since some time has passed (and I'm not sure exactly when I upgraded FF) I can't be sure it's due to the FF upgrade.

Hi Andy,
All browser vendors did strengthen there security restrictions.
LessBackupsPlugin used a method, that was removed with FF17+ which
causes the behaviour you noticed.
There is no fix atm.
