Hello guys,

First I’d like to thank the community for the great tool that is TW. I’ve started recently to use it and, like most apparently, also started trying to tweak it :) in order to learn hwo to use it to the fullest.
I’ve been able to handle most issues through the discussion groups and the greatly improved pre-release documentation at http://tiddlywiki.com/prerelease/, but alas I’m now stuck and have to call for help.
To set the context, I’m working on a Top Menu Bar and I’d like to use exclusively core capabilities of TW5.
The issue is that I can’t figure out an efficient way for a user to define the order of tagged tiddlers through buttons.
I narrowed down the ways to the use of either the tiddler tag list or list-before/list-after fields in the tagged tiddlers, but there’s always something that doesn’t work. Maybe there’s a better approach?
With the tag list : while running a list of toddlers in the tag list, I can’t find a filter to catch the list of tiddlers in the tag list up to the current one.
With the list-before/list-after, I end up with conflict cases (cross-listing) where some items reference each other in the list-before field.

I’ve explained my issue, objective and where I'm at in my tiddlyspot page at http://lepako.tiddlyspot.com/

Hope someone out there will have time and goodwill to look into this.

Thanks all and have a good day!

Hi,

Have you seen BJ's taglist plugin? http://bjtools.tiddlyspot.com/

Maybe it will give you some clues about how to do it.

Regards,
Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks a lot for reading and providing a pointer. I did see BJ's taglist while researching on the topic. Unfortunately (for my purpose) it makes use of a Javascript module/plugin, which is beyond my level (html, wikitext, core widgets) and I'd like to keep it within core TW5 functions.
Same would be for the excellent work of inmysocks at inmysocks.tiddlyspot.com (which is using a calc plugin).

Regards
