Thanks for checking this discussion out.
I've recently made the switch to tiddlyspot and just had one of those
moments when I didn't save before closing. This happened because I'm
used to other wikis performing the save and because I have used
autosave with TW. I'm imagining I'll get used to it though it would
be nice if I didn't have to be smart or proactive (because with three
kids, my mind is mush and the simplest things are forgotten).
My wish is one of two things.
1. a plugin will autosave to the web in the background. This might be
a silly request due to the length of time it takes to upload. If so,
I have a #2.
2. a plugin will autosave to my hard drive as long as autosave is
true. Thus if I forget to save to web, then I am still protected. As
long as the plugin knows where to save, such as my documents, then
this would be a good solution.
I've looked around and the closest thing I found was the
SaveFromWebPlugin, though it didn't fulfill my wish.
#1 above seems like a good idea though it might not work within
reason. #2 is a solution, but not as desirable. Can anyone offer a
solution?
