Presenting: Plain Tabs - just a plainer tab look

Yes, the world leading TWaddle Enterprises
 have once again decided to pause their nuclear research
to create something of utmost importance:

Plain Tabs

...they are... um, well, just plainer and lighter looking tabs. I always found the gray tabs too dominant.

No seriously, I like it and will use it -- the old tabs have such a 2002 look. ;) Is the separating border to the bottom of deselected tabs (or to the right of them, if vertical) not stylable?

Yes and no. I just corrected a minor bug to ensure that they are stylable (thanx for pointint it out!) - BUT the horizontal sidebar divider is still not because it is actually a gradient and set very differently from the other lines. Replacing the gradient with a plain color gives an ugly result and my attempts to have the gradient fetch a customized color did not succeed.

However, you can of course style the concerned parts the usual way. Do a search for "linear-gradient" inside tiddler $:/themes/tiddlywiki/snowwhite/base . You'll need to change the r,g,b values inside the rgba(r,g,b,a) to something between 0 and 255, e.g rgba(255,0,0,.5) for r (i.e red)

Plain Tabs is plain Magic ...
Could you ad a spell for fill and fontcolor. It would be nice if it was as easy to choose thoose as well.

Hi. I'm a n00b. How do I use this?

I copied both items to my tiddlywiki, as instructed. But now what? How do I implement the tabs?

I'm rather lost about using plugins.  All plugins seem easy to install but then I can't find help on actually using them.

So you drag each link over onto your tiddlywiki, a new 'Import' tiddler should pop up.  Hit the import buton.
The import tiddler will ow say you have succesfully imported the following....with links to the imprted tiddlers.  Click on the 'plaintabs settings' one and vola... :)
