Hi all

Feeling pumped. I created a writing sandbox using a number of plugins and innovations. and I didn't even need to get help here today!

(1) Using Mario's link-to-tabs plugin, and flibbles' relink plugin, as usual. Great tools and huge time-savers.

(2) Using Twaddle's Stretchtext macro, slightly modified, to add the equivalent of sliders. I created a bunch of editortoolbar buttons for this, with different icons for each, including a gear for things I need to work on, alert for things to watch out for, and a globe for sources that are webpages. Check it out in this tiddler:  https://giffmex.org/experiments/writing.sandbox.html#Apocalipsis%203.1-6

(3) Using Twaddle's attention plugin, slightly modified, in tandem with snowgoon's edit-comptext plugin, and an editortoolbar button I created for the occasion. Check it out on the bottom of this tiddler: https://giffmex.org/experiments/writing.sandbox.html#Outlining%20template. This tiddler also has a variety of examples of the stretchtext usage including images, etc.

My basic writing process is to
1. gather my sources,
2. outline the basic ideas, each followed by a stretchtext of the sources for each,
3. write the details in tiddlers for each source, pushing the notes to the project tiddler via the attention plugin
4. Transfer the notes to the project tiddler (or if the project is a long one, there will be subtidders transcluded in the project tiddler, as in Apocalipsis 3.1-6)

Everything you see there -- both the file from scratch and the outlining of the passage -- I did today. The ideas came fast and furious...

These projects will be online as TiddlyWiki files and printed to pdf (with all stretch texts open) when done.

Thanks to all the above plugin and macro creators!

Blessings, Dave

Good Job!

Some minor comments:
- I think Tobias Beer has small css to create auto numbered chapter and heading, this may help you
- The Gear box when clicked for example in Revelation 3.4 sub the slider of all gearboxes will be revealed
- The color tab can be more tidy

good luck

Hi Mohammad, thanks for the feedback! Here are a couple answers:

Yes, I did the colors tab a while back, and that was rushed. I think I have even added other colors to the stylesheet since then. I will definitely clean it up if I ever share it for others' use. (Right now it is just a sanndbox for my use, but I thought people here might like to see this combination of plugins for this use case.)

I will check out the Tobias CSS you mention, to see if I want to use it. I don't think I wanted numbering, let alone automatic numbering. The numbers you see are Bible verse numbers, not strictly section numbers. But it is definitely worth a look! Thanks for the recommendation.

I am of two minds about the gear items opening together. I did have them clicking independently (just add text before or after the gear icon in the macro), but I liked the idea of being able to quickly open and close them for printing to pdf. And, having just an icon at the end of each line makes it cleaner and easier to read when they are closed. I think for my gear sections (which are for my writing stage only), I will have them work together. But the other stretch texts that are for the reader, I will have them work independently so it is less confusing to them.

Cheers, Dave

Blessings,

Ciao Dave

I'm very appreciative you posted that. I think it is incredibly useful to see "working solutions".
I don't mean demos. I mean wikis kitted-out to perform a defined aim & working practice.

And listing all main components is very helpful to understand how to use and tweak available "lego kits" of functions.

As Mohammad mentioned the "gear expansion" has unnecessary repetition.

BTW, I thought the way you did the extra buttons in editor particularly useful to look at and learn from.

Best wishes
TT
