Iframe doesn't work with external website (URL ends with .php)

Hi,

I want to integrate an external website into my wiki.

I made it with <html><iframe src="URL" width="940" height="1000"
style="border: none;"></iframe></html>

The URL is https://www.olionatura.de/kosmetikrechner/rezepterechner.php.

It shows nothing.

But it works with other URLs...

What can I do now?

Could you please help? Thanks in advance!

Hi Surya,

as far as I know, there are websites that don't allow to embed them within other pages

for example it's impossible to embed google.com and many others

I don't know a workaround for that and I guess that there isn't a legal one, I've accepted that some work, some don't

I know that there are pages like https://embed.ly that make it possible to embed some websites that are not embeddable by default,
I don't know more about those sites, some are paid services, that's not for me

oh shit!!

But okay, if it really is like you say, than I'll accept that and just link to it...

And, no, I really don't want a paid service for this little wish.
And also I don't want to spend days for searching (and understanding & testing) for a non-paid service which could make it possible and than at the end have the result, that this site still is not embeddable...

which browser are you trying?
with chrome I have problems with the page trying to navigate so needed this

Hi BJ,

I use Pale Moon.
But that iframe should work with every browser, because it's a public website.

I tried your suggestion: It shows a frame, but with nothing inside...

Hi Surya

I think that the problem here is that the website you’re using is employing a technique called “frame busting”: it detects when it is running in iframe, and attempts to bust out and become the main page:


As the article points out, frame busting is recommended for e-commerce websites to prevent click-jacking attacks, so it is unlikely that they’d want to change it.

When testing, are you using a local file TW, or a net-based? When I tested it with TiddlyWiki.com (FF, windows) I was able to get it to work. But not with a local TW.

Also, I had to turn off my addblocker.

Hi Mark,

I tested it on a tiddlyspot-wiki on Pale Moon, Linux Mint.
But, that doesn't matter- I'll publish this wiki soon for other people. So it should work on every browser and every operating system.
And it doesn't matter so much, that it's more or less not possible. It just would have been nice.
It would have been nice for two reasons:
People (including me) wouldn't have to open another website to use the calculator on that website.
And other people could see, that tiddlywiki has this feature.

Now, please... other things are more important... this iframe is not sooo much important for me...

I don't wan't an integraton of my work on other websites because it is a service for my visitors and students. All my calculators are protected by copyright - Olionatura® is my registered trademark.

Please feel free to plan, design and program your own calculator.

Ich freue mich sehr, wenn Ihr meine Arbeit in meinem Wiki (welches ich bald hier veröffentliche) in Eure Wikis / Webseiten integriert, verlinkt, teilt und benutzt.
Bezüglich "Körperpflege- & Reinigungsmittel palmölfrei selbst herstellen"- worum es in einem Teil meines Wikis geht:
Ich freue mich, wenn alle Menschen, die daran interessiert sind / denen diese Dinge wichtig sind, zusammenarbeiten. Unabhängig davon, ob man selbst Arbeit hineingesteckt hat oder nicht. Umso wirksamer wird die eigene Arbeit.
Meine Meinung.

ganz meine Sicht auf die Dinge: Großzügig teilen, andere an den eigenen Erkenntnissen teilhaben lassen - und mit dem eigenen Namen hinter allem stehen, was man sagt und tut. :-) Daher agiere ich hier nicht anonym.

Großartige Inhalte anderer teilen, auf sie verlinken, sie Dritten weitersagen - das ist echt klasse. Die Arbeit anderer als eigene Leistung ausgeben, indem man sie in eine Frame der eigenen Webpräsenz einbindet und aus ihrem originären Kontext nimmt, ist höflich ausgedrückt nicht die feine Art. Mal ganz abgesehen vom Juristischen: Das Zauberwort heißt RESPEKT. Für mich ist Respekt die Grundlage gegenseitigen Handelns, im realen wie im Online-Leben.

Abgesehen davon sollte es für jeden im Internet Agierenden und Publizierenden selbstverständlich sein, das Impressum und Urheberrechtshinweise anderer Webseiten zu lesen und sich an die Regeln zu halten. Dort steht klar:

Sehr geehrte Frau Käser,

ich habe sehr wichtige, sehr persönliche Gründe, warum ich im gesamten Internet anonym auftrete. Auch die Polizei hat mir dazu angeraten.
Ich habe nun endlich eine Möglichkeit gefunden, mir wichtige Dinge & Anleitungen anonym ins Netz zu stellen.

Ich wollte Ihnen gegenüber niemals respektlos sein, deshalb sieze ich Sie auch- wir kennen uns nicht.
Ich wollte auch niemals Ihrer Arbeit oder Ihren Webinhalten gegenüber respektlos sein. Ganz im Gegenteil. Es war von meiner Seite eher eine Respektbezeugung. Wobei in 1. Linie natürlich für meine Leser gedacht, damit diese es einfacher haben als ich bisher, um Rezepte zu bearbeiten / zu erstellen.

Ich hätte den Rechner niemals als meinen eigenen ausgegeben, wie sie es behaupten. Ich hätte ganz klar gesagt, auf welcher Webseite dieser steht. Aber, wie gesagt, wird es eh nicht dazu kommen.

Ich werde in der nächsten Zeit meine Seite entsprechend Ihrem Urheberrecht bearbeiten und entschuldige mich hiermit für Unannehmlichkeiten Ihrerseits.
