Hi!

I'm happy to announce the release of Projectify v0.11.0!

You can install/upgrade from

https://projectify.wiki

This release contains major new changes, including:

* Support for setting priorities in tasks
* Support for project categories, with custom colours and filtering
* New language translation packages for French and Dutch

Here's a full ChangeLog:

Features

* Add support for categories in projects, with colours and filtering from the dashboard
* New button to convert todos into projects
* New category configuration tab in the Control Panel
* New French (fr-FR) language add-on plugin
* New Dutch (nl-NL) language add-on plugin

Improvements

* Render todo items using the new $:/plugins/nico/projectify/ui/todo/TodoCaption template
* Action buttons in Todo tiddlers are now rendered as regular buttons

I would like to thank Odin for kindly providing the Dutch translation.

Cheers,
Nico

Hi Nicolas!

Great to see the new features! I want to test the dutch language on the website, but I can't figure out how to change the plugins languagepack. What are the steps to change projectify language?

I've added 2 empty editions for the French and Language translations:

- https://projectify.wiki/empty-fr-FR.html

Otherwise, to install the language plugin manually, install the Dutch plugin
from https://projectify.wiki/demo.html
(https://projectify.wiki/demo.html#%24%3A%2Fplugins%2Fnico%2Fprojectify-nl-NL),
save and reload your wiki!

If I find others, how do you prefer to receive returns? On Github maybe?

As I had the opportunity to tell you I've started using Projectify at the office, that should do the trick :)

Cheers,
Sylvain

Thanks a lot Sylvain!

Thanks! Would you mind opening an issue on GitHub?

Yes, opening GitHub issues is the most convenient way to report bugs.

Really cool, please tell me how it goes.

hi Nico,

is there an easy way to remove to big bitmaps (like:

They are nice to learn Projectify but take up a lot of screen space and just the last line would be enough for me. Can I edit one of the plugin tiddlers?

cheers

Not yet, but I will add a configuration option for that!

Hello,

I really like your plugin ;

I have two questions :
- I have tried in parallel the category list plugin (http://inmysocks.tiddlyspot.com/#Category%20Lists%20Plugin) and I also liked the way it displays the tasks ; would it be possible to have something close to it ?
- I have some tabs (upcoming and projects). Is there a way to display all my tasks grouped by category/project (closed to previous question) ? What about tasks without dates ? (For example, if I create a task "test projectify", I do not really want to set a date but I do not want to forget it)

Thanks

David

Having done the upgrade, i just discovered in docs this little gem about how to add new tabs to dashboard.... So following the instructions, i've created a tag called "$/:plugins/nico/projectify/tags/dashboard", tagged the new tiddler i want in menu with it, saved, reloaded (rinse and repeat a few times), but still no joy -it doesn't show up in the dashboard.  Have i misunderstood about this, i wonder?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, close to it how?
Would you like to see a list of all tasks, grouped by project?

I'll add that to the roadmap :-)

There's a typo here, it should be "$:/plugins/nico/projectify/tags/dashboard".

You should also add a caption field to the tiddler, it is used as the
label of the tab. You can have a look at this tiddler if you want to see
an example:

$:/plugins/nico/projectify/ui/dashboard/InboxAndProjects

Oops! good eye, @nico -thanks :-)

So i fixed the typo, copying exactly what you wrote, and it still doesn't work.
Moreover: when i go to view all tags in tag manager, this new one named as you specified doesn't show up (tho the one i made w/ the typo before did.  Interesting!)

Anyway, i went ahead and added a caption field, following the pattern on "$:/plugins/nico/projectify/ui/dashboard/InboxAndProjects"
In fact i copied that caption verbatim, i.e. "{{$:/plugins/nico/projectify/images/tasks}} {{$:/language/projectify/Projects}}"
That didn't do anything as far as i could tell, except change name of subject tiddler to "Projects" wherever it appeared...
So then i changed "Projects" at end of the given expression to the name of tiddler i was working on, and that made subject tiddler disappear from view, wherever i had it linked.

Clearly i am messing w/ stuff i don't understand -and i don't want to mess up the way this wonderful Projectify plugin works, so i guess i'll undo the mess i made and go back to GTD :-)

Hi Walt,

This work in a normal TW way.

Le jeudi 21 janvier 2021 à 19:04:31 UTC+1, ludwa6 a écrit :

The name of tag is naming like a system prefix with $:/ so it not show in regular tag manager.

Capture d’écran 2021-01-21 à 20.12.15.png

And the caption field is just useful if you tiddler name is too long. See capture Plop is in fact my tiddler name.

So I don't see were you are wrong, since you 'just' have to put $:/plugins/nico/projectify/tags/dashboard tag to your tiddler (don't need to reload).
(and with droptag you can choose order by drag&drop if you want).

Regards,
Sylvain

Nicolas,

First off, loving projectify. Been using TW5 and customizing my own but, Projectify is great and added on to my existing install with no issues at all.

Question: Is there a setting to display the created date of a todo when they are listed in the Dashboard or project tiddlers? If not, can you suggest which tiddler to modify to do so safely (i.e. don't want to break existing interactions)?

Thanks,
Kelly

Thanks a lot! I'm really glad you like it.

There's a shadow tiddler that you can override to customize how todos
are rendered:

$:/plugins/nico/projectify/ui/todo/TodoCaption

By default only displays the title of todo tiddlers, but you could
instead display anything you want.

Nico

Hello

I have found the "Next" shadow tiddler ; I have added it to the sidebar... It does the job...

I added it to the sidebar (could you add this possibility to the next release ?) ; it is more useful than the Project tab on the sidebar (for me ! I do not speak about others)

One question : in front of my projects names, there is a "point" (sorry, I do not know the name in english) which is plain or empty. I do not get the logic why it is plain or not (they all have categories, there is not any relation to the number of tasks, the today actions,...). What is it for ?

Thanks

I'm not sure what this point is, could you send a screenshot?

Oh, right! That's the pie icon. It shows how many open vs completed
todos you have in your project. Try completing some todos, you should
see the pie chart reflect the state of your project.

You can also see that in the project tiddlers themselves, like the
screenshot below:

Ciao  Nico,

In some ways Projectify (https://projectify.wiki/) is a successor to CARDO. Cardo was made by David Szego (unfortunately he died). But the last thing he created was saved here: Cardo via dyumnin.

It struck me that part of YOUR intent was not a million miles away from David's?

Just a bit of background. And maybe a useful resource?
TT
