Hello

Is there any chance to have a bug fixed minor release of Tiddlydesktop? or much better a new release with new node.js and chrome?
The full-screen still does not work!

Mohammad,

The Next release of TiddlyWiki has a minor change in relation to Full creen, but what problem do you have in TiddlyDesktop, My wikis are in a window that I can maximise to full screen.

What is not working for you?

For me, the external file plugin doesn't work (which would be a major motivation to use TD).

Also, TD "litters" the PC environment, creating entries in the roaming data area. This means it's not really a portable solution in restricted environments. This might be a limitation built into node itself.

Tony,
Using tm-full-screen and macros based on that do not work with TiddlyDesktop!

Also as you know the mouse right click and spell checker are not working also! But for me the tm-full-screen is important!

Mohammad,

I suppose the best answer will be from Jeremy. Perhaps you could add an issue here https://github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyDesktop/issues

However I cant quite see what you are trying to achieve, Are you trying to full screen a particular tiddler?

When running TiddlyDesktop as a local windows App I can use the window controls to make it full screen (Except for the top Application bar).

If what you are after is the items proposed in the pre-release of 5.1.18 I would imagin this needs to be released first, on a previous occasion, the updated TiddlyDesktop followed right away.

OR is there something else you are thinking about?

just trying to help.

Hi Mohammad

Thanks for your patient requests about TiddlyDesktop. I'm preparing a new release which will update nw.js to the latest version, and any other quick fixes I can include immediately.

Is the problem you're experiencing that making a wikifile window full screen and then restarting TiddlyDesktop and re-opening the wiki file window doesn't restore it to full screen? I think it's the same issue here:

I can confirm that the problem still exists after updating to nw.js v33.3. As I note in that ticket, TiddlyDesktop itself doesn't implement the window restoration logic: it's built-in to nw.js. We may need to raise an issue with the nw.js team, but to do that we'll need a minimum test case.

Best wishes

I just want make the point again that the TiddlyDesktop GitHub is really quite easy to use as it has quite well defined issues that re-occur and there are not too many of them. It kinda forms a broad agenda of what is needed. It is well worth following IMO.

The "more like a browser" parts are a big aspect. Quite a lot of issues devolve to that. I.e. what can be included of Chrome's functionality. Some of the issues are limits in nw.js, not TW per se.

I agree portability is an issue. There are two issues, I think.

(1) Wikis are currently only located using absolute addressing?

(2) The settings file can be portabilised but it still leaves residue on the user roaming  area.
