If I have an image that points to an URL, does my PC have to have an internet connection to see that image, or does the tiddlywiki grab the image and store it in the wiki internally?

Same question about local files. Does the TW store local files in the TW file so I can delete the local image after I place it in the wiki?

And further, if I'm editing my wiki on Tiddlyspot.com, can I store the images inside the wiki rather than point to an external website for the image?

Related question: I can't seem to place local images when editing my wiki on tiddlyspot.com. When I put in [img[imgname.jpg]] and imagename.jpg is in the same folder as as the wiki, I get a broken image icon.

Thank you.

Embedding images can rapidly inflate the size of your TW and slow it down. Usually better to link to external images.

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind.

Thank you for being helpful and tolerating a newbie. :)
