Hi Yan

I just started playing around with TiddlyWiki5 and ported some of my old tiddlers over for fun.

A few questions:

Themes:
I notice that TW5 has support for multiple themes, which is great. Are we able to create our own themes yet? If so, what do we edit?

Yes, you can create your own themes, but you'll need to use the node.js Edition of TW5 to do so. Have a look at the provided themes here:

Without going to the trouble of creating a theme, you can do quick stylesheet changes by creating tiddlers tagged "$:/tags/stylesheet" containing CSS definitions.

Plugins:
Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a guide for porting old plugins over to TW5? Doesn't have to be newbie friendly since I know a bit of coding, but I haven't tried creating a TW plugin myself so a guide would be very helpful.

No, there's no guide at the moment. The internal architecture of TW5 is very different, and I'd expect most plugins to need substantially rewriting.

Tiddler Fields:
Is there a way to edit the fields of a tiddler yet?

Not, not yet, but it is coming!

I notice my imported tiddlers are displayed in a different format than tiddlers created in TW5. I guess this is probably intended based on the field value 'type' (which marked my imported tiddlers as tiddlers from an older version of TW).

That's correct, yes.

So far the alpha is looking really neat and I like it a lot. There are a few things I don't like about the new interface but it's personal preference. I can easily fix them myself once I get to play around with the CSS / make my own themes.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated,

Best wishes

Jeremy
